THE URANTIA BOOK IN A NUTSHELL

Underlying all reality are the Deity Absolute which unifies all divinity, the Universal Absolute which unifies everything else, and the Unqualified Absolute which is the infinite repository of all that could ever be. These three Absolutes of Infinity can be defined and studied, but never really understood by finite human minds.

The Paradise Trinity is resident on the Isle of Paradise at the geographic center of Infinity. The Trinity consists of the Universal Father, the Eternal Son, and the Infinite Spirit who is also known as the Conjoint Actor. The three persons of Trinity combine in all seven possible combinations of three things (1, 2, 3, 1-2, 1-3, 2-3, 1-2-3) to eventuate the Seven Master Spirits, who reside on the periphery of Paradise. Circling the Paradise-Personality center of all things are the billion perfect, unique and eternal worlds of Havona. Each of the Havona worlds is administered by an Eternal of Days. All the beings and places mentioned so far are from eternity. There was never a "time" when they did not exist.

From Paradise, the Seven Master Spirits direct the activities of their seven respective Superuniverses of time and space, which revolve and evolve around the eternal Paradise-Havona system. The Superuniverse Rulers are the Ancients of Days. Each Superuniverse contains 100,000 Local Universes. Our superuniverse is called Orvonton, and our Local Universe is Nebadon. The Local Universes are the creations of an important order of the Paradise Sons known as the Creator Sons. Ours is named Christ Michael, and was incarnated on our lowly world, Urantia, as Jesus of Nazareth.

The local universes are further subdivided into 100 Constellations ruled by the Constellation Fathers. These in turn are subdivided into 100 systems ruled by the System Sovereigns. Ours was Lucifer, who rebelled about 200,000 years ago, denying God and challenging our Creator Son. Each system contains up to 1000 inhabited worlds, and each world may be ruled by a Planetary Prince. Ours was Caligastia, who defaulted during the Lucifer Rebellion. Doing the math, you will find there are potentially seven trillion inhabited worlds in the presently organized Grand Universe. And far beyond this, in the Outer Space Levels, there are vast regions of universes as yet uninhabited. The Supreme Being is the evolutionary aspect of Deity, now emerging as the totality of time-space creature experience. Our loving acts contribute to the evolution of the Supreme.

God literally lives within us, as well as far away on Paradise. A fragment of the Universal Father known as the Thought Adjuster indwells each of us, gently urging us to choose to do the Father's Will. This fragment of God, also known as the Mystery Monitor, is a perfect guide, seeking to lead us Godward on our ascent through the various levels of the cosmos. We will ascend through the System, Constellation, Local Universe, Superuniverse, and the billion worlds of Havona, life after life, world after world, until finally we stand in the shining presence of our Father on Paradise. Our ascension career and entire eternal afterlife are a grand adventure of divine discovery, joyous worship, elevation of values, perfection of character, restful play and loving service.
